This story starts a long way from the ocean – out on a dusty cattle station in the middle of remote Queensland. Life there was tough but simple: sunburnt days, red dirt roads, and nights where the sky felt close enough to touch. That’s where Lucy Lou was born – a country girl with calloused hands, dusty boots, and a love for the raw beauty around her.

Fast forward a few years, and the road led me to the coast. Suddenly, the soundtrack wasn’t just cattle and choppers – it was crashing waves, salty air, and a new rhythm that was calmer but no less wild. But here’s the thing: you can take the girl out of the outback, but you can’t take the outback out of the girl.

That push-and-pull – between the grit of the bush and the glow of the sea – is what sparked this little jewellery business. I wanted to capture both worlds: the ruggedness of the land and the laidback beauty of the coast.

So I started making pieces that felt like home to me – natural pearls, earthy gemstones, and designs that are a little rough around the edges, a little cheeky, and always ready for adventure.

Every piece is handmade, with a bit of wild flair and a whole lotta love. Some are simple, some are bold, but all are designed to be worn wherever life takes you – whether that’s mustering cattle, dancing barefoot on the sand, or hitting the pub after a long day.

Lucy Lou is more than jewellery – it’s a celebration of the wild, the free, and the in-between. It’s for the cowgirls, the coastal wanderers, and anyone who knows that life’s too short for boring accessories.
